Introduction:

At Blueink, the security of your account is our top priority. To ensure that your data remains safe, we are excited to introduce Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for your login process. MFA adds an extra layer of protection by requiring not only your password but also a second form of verification, such as a code sent to your phone or generating code via the authenticator app. With this enhancement, unauthorized access to your account becomes significantly more difficult, giving you greater peace of mind while using our platform. Your security matters to us, and MFA helps make sure that your account stays protected.

Two Easy Authentication Methods to Verify Your Identity

We’ve made MFA flexible by offering two authentication methods for added security:

  • Authenticator App: Generate a six-digit code using apps like Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator. Enter the code to complete your login.

  • SMS Authentication: Receive a text message with a code and enter it to verify your identity.

NOTE: Most countries support SMS, but if your region doesn’t, we recommend using an authenticator app. Check the list of unsupported countries here.

1. Enabling MFA for a Single User:

Step 1: Access the Menu Bar

1.1. Click the menu bar located at the top right of your dashboard.

Step 2: Navigate to Profile

2.1. From the menu options, choose "Profile." This will direct you to the profile dashboard. Scroll down until you find MFA Configuration.

Step 3: Choose your MFA

3.1. Click the drop-down menu and choose between Authenticator App or SMS Authentication as your MFA. Check the list of SMS unsupported countries here.

Step 4: Add your Phone Number or Preferred Authenticator App

4.1. If you choose phone, you will need to enter your phone number in the specified field.

4.2 If you choose the authenticator app, you will be prompted with a QR code to scan to receive a verification code for linking.

4.3 Click Save.

2. Enabling MFA for the Account:

Step 1: Access the Menu Bar

1.1. Click the menu bar located at the top right of your dashboard.

Step 2: Navigate to Account

2.1. From the menu options, choose "Account." This will direct you to the account dashboard. Scroll down until you find MFA Configuration.

Step 3: Enable MFA

3.1. Navigate to Security and Permission and enable the "Require MFA."

3.2 Select your preferred MFA. You can choose either or both of the options.

3.3 Click Save.

Conclusion:

In today's digital landscape, passwords alone aren't enough to safeguard your account from unauthorized access. By adding an extra verification step, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) significantly reduces the risk and ensures your account stays secure. Whether you opt for app-based verification or SMS, MFA is quick, convenient, and an effective way to enhance your security.
