Introduction:

Disabling typed signatures in documents can be done by following a simple process. When you place a signature field on the document, you will have the option to disable the use of typed signatures. This ensures that signers are required to provide an actual handwritten signature, adding an extra layer of authenticity to the document.

How to Disable Typed Signature in Blueink:

1. Open the document in your BlueInk account that supports signature fields and locate the area where you want to place the signature field within the document.

2. Look for the drop-down menu typically located on the left side of the screen.

3. Select or toggle the option to allow typed signatures/initials. This option can also be utilized in templates for a streamlined way to only allow handwritten signatures, every time a document is sent.

Conclusion:

By disabling typed signatures, you ensure that signers are prompted to provide an actual handwritten signature, eliminating the possibility of using a typed or computer-generated signature. This can be particularly useful when dealing with sensitive documents or legal agreements that require a physical signature for validity and authenticity.
